Villa Alta Gracia: A Land That Holds Ceremony

The retreat is hosted at EcoAldeaRD, located in Los Arroyones, San José del Puerto (Villa Altagracia), Dominican Republic. This land offers an expansive, nature-rich environment that supports ancestral gatherings, deep listening, and collective connection.

Surrounded by native forest, mountains, and rivers, EcoAldeaRD invites participants into stillness—creating the conditions for reconnection with the land, with oneself, and with one another.

Creating the Yucayeke together

EcoAldeaRD is immersed in lush, largely untouched vegetation and thoughtfully designed to support communal living in harmony with the natural environment. The land offers multiple natural and shared spaces for ceremony, rest, exploration, and daily community life, allowing silence, nature, and connection to guide the rhythm of the retreat.

Sites of the Territory

The land also holds Alto de Fabiola, a 570-meter natural viewpoint reached by a forest hike. From its summit, participants experience expansive views of the surrounding landscape—offering perspective, grounding, and deep connection with the territory.

Nearby, the Salto del Indio waterfall offers a powerful, intimate natural space for prayer, contemplation, and ceremonial presence.

Directions from Santo Domingo:

(approximately 45–60 minutes)

1. Drive north on Autopista Duarte towards Villa Altagracia.
2. Pass Planta de Jugos Rica.
3. Look for the Parador Viverde and turn right onto the access road.
4. Follow the road into the community of Los Arroyones, you will pass a security point that has a big sign with the name of Los Arroyones community.
5. Keep going past the creeks and the EcoAldea will be to the right.
