FESTIVAL ARAWAKO 2026

The Arawak Festival is a ceremonial gathering of ancestral knowledge to remember and celebrate our cultural identity as Indigenous peoples of the Caribbean and Abya Yala (the Americas).

About the Festival

The Festival is the Areyto celebration of Iwa Kayara (Arawak annual cycle renewal) within the transition of the Spring Equinox. A gathering for the Caribbean family from the islands and diaspora to come together, enjoy, and nurture our ancestral roots.

ACTIVITIES

The Festival will be sharing activities across different cities in the DR. Pre-Festival Events will prepare us for the in-depth experiences that the Festival will offer. During the Festival, there will be FREE and by-donation community offerings (Watekes) open to the general public, as well as other experiences that lead to the closing Immersion Retreat.
